Sandy Beach will hereby be renamed Sandy Bay. Brad has been rewriting our feature and making his mark on the story. Hopefully he will be finished today, so I can get it back and read the new version. I’m so excited to see the changes he has made. I don’t know if you are aware but Brad is an award winning writer, and he is so talented. Right away, he saw the potential in Sandy Beach, but he said it needed even more mystery. I can’t wait to see what he’s added. Once we are both satisfied with Sandy Bay, we will be sending it to a screenwriter we trust to give us feedback. There is no point in moving forward with a project this big unless the script is where we want it to be, and that means it needs to be in award winning shape. 

Here comes the downside…the budget. As we’ve increased the mystery and drama, the budget has continued to creep up. This has put us in the $200,000 range. We will need financing. I don’t know if I can get a budget this big from a Kickstarter campaign. I’m going to have to talk to some companies and try to get funding that way as well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and will keep everyone updated. 

As far as Justine & Barry, the first cut is done, and it’s off to Brad. Since he is busy working and with Sandy Bay, it has been on hold but not for long. By this weekend, Brad will have our short in his hands, and we are motivated to get it done and out to festivals.
