In a network television show, the writer’s room is where all the ideas get brought out and debated. The bad ideas fall away and the worthy stay. Tonight, Brad and I conducted our own version of a writer’s room, where we brainstormed a new project that we are developing (known as “breaking a story”). When I worked for Lynda Obst at Paramount Pictures, we had about twenty projects in different stages of development. We are delving in that state now with all of the current projects on our docket from shorts to features, pilots and reality shows. I even wrote a breast cancer PSA that is sizzling hot and would be really good for the cause. I’d rather have too many good projects than not enough, so I am very happy about this. I hope we can move forward on all of our projects soon.
