Update…
Playground has been released. This is the film that was a test to see how fast we could turn a short around. Within 5 days the film was conceived and executed. We wrote it in two days, cast it in two days, and shot in one 8 hour day. Post took considerably longer because of the visual effects Brad designed while juggling his work on Cosmos as the Visual Effects Editor and designing the effects for The Sphere. When you’re not only writing, producing, directing but also starring in a film, it’s extremely difficult to learn your lines and focus with everything else going on. I’m happy to say everyone managed to bring their A game, and the film looks great.

Yesterday, I spent time editing some of the promotional shots I took of Lars Slind who is attached as Rodmar Svan in Lone Viking. We will be producing content around Lars to push his name out there as we seek funding for our feature. Here are a few of my favorite shots so far.
I stayed up late last night with the SAG rules for features, working out the number of days I will need an actor on set to figure out their salaries. I also include rehearsal days, health benefits and FICA, plus a tip. The budget of above the line at this point is complete. I expect the entire budget to be less than half a million dollars which puts it under the SAG Modified Low Budget Agreement. I’m coming up with creative ways to fund Lone Viking and get it off the ground.
