Watching is on hold as our lead got a big role and will be gone for a month. When he returns, we will shoot it in September. Sisters is a short I wrote about a month ago that has potential as a CW type show. It’s about two sisters in college who are very competitive. One is the hot cheerleader and the other is the adorable nerdy girl. I’m planning to shoot it this Friday. I’m securing the cast now. Troy Akin is set to play Daniel.

Private Eye (temp title) is a series I am writing about undercover CIA agents who were recruited as Navy SEALS. Cole is so deep undercover that Julie, his former partner, is not even sure she can trust him. Their relationship has them fighting each other one minute and kissing the next. The case they take on pits them against the powerful pharmaceutical industry that is using everyday citizens as guinea pigs for experimental drugs.

Lone Viking is going through the packaging phase. I am putting together the Prospectus which will include the summary, budget, and attachments. I’ll be doing this for all of my feature scripts as I seek funding from potential sponsors and/or investors.

Finishing the revision pass on Rome 444 is my first priority as I’ll be entering that script into festivals. This is one that could be shot for 30-50 Million. I will need studio backing to get it made. The story is extremely strong as it is built on very solid bones.

I have two features I am interested in writing next. One is Wiseman. It happens mostly in one location, and it’s a drama about a father and son who happen upon a violent incident and save a young woman from the hands of her monstrous family. When the daughter comes home to discover the father is now in a relationship with this other woman, tempers erupt. My second feature is David which is a drama about a young boy living in a tumultuous home. This is one I started months ago as a screenplay and as a novel. It’s not an easy one to write because it’s very emotional.

Also some good Blackmagic news. They came out with a recent update that gives us more flexibility with storage. This means I will be editing Sisters on my laptop with an external drive to test out the new Pro Res LP.  If this works, it will lead to a much faster turnaround because I could watch dailies and even start editing while on set.
