Today, Brad has done a lot of work to Justine and Barry. The second cut is finished,  and it is so awesome! I was laughing out loud as I watched it! The editing style is fabulous because Brad is so talented! We have lots of split screen that plays to the comedy. My favorite scenes thus far are the Barry & Tom and the Barry & Hunter scenes, both of which are a riot!

Tomorrow we move on to scoring the film. I’m so excited to be moving towards completion, and I really hope to be able to do a red carpet screening once it is complete!

Sandy Bay is in a good place to send in for revisions, but the budget is still way over what I want it to be. It started out as a low-budget love story that we could shoot for $50,000 and somehow ended up a high budget action film. I love the characters and find it hard to shelve, but I’m thinking we may have to for the time being. I have so many other projects on my plate and want to focus on something that I can actually shoot soon.

One of the projects I’m interested in shooting happens on a space ship. Laurel Canyon Studios has a HUGE space ship set, but I’m looking for something smaller with a more affordable budget. If you know of one in the area, send me a line.
