Revision Stage…

The revision stage for any script always seems endless. As soon as you finish revising, it’s time to read again and before you know it, you’re changing, tinkering, exploring new story points. It’s so much fun because you’re spending time with characters you love, but before you know it, the whole day’s gone and you’re still revising. This can go on for days, and by the end of it, you finally have a story you love.

Private Eye is in Brad’s hands for his next revision pass. It’s changed somewhat, but the bones are the same. Cole Maddux is former Military, falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit. The only person he can trust is his former partner, Julie Blackstone, who he trained to be a fighter. He’s worried that she will be the next on his list of loved ones to disappear. When he meets her new parter Ellis, a towering former Seal with secret ties to the mob, he realizes she’s in grave danger.

I’ve written Act 1 of what could be a feature film. Right now, I’m ironing out the script. Next I’ll pick a cast. I’m writing with one in mind. It always helps flesh the characters out and makes them more real to have a visual. Coincidentally, I ran into one of my visuals today, and he was much taller then I imagined. Makes me think the universe is speaking to me.
