As someone with a background in news, I’m used to an environment where all stages of production are day of. This gives me a huge advantage as a filmmaker. Since I have my own gear, I can be ready to shoot at a moment’s notice as long as I have cast, crew and locations. I’m trying to set up a quickie shoot for tomorrow, but since it’s last minute, it may have to be pushed to next week. I got the location, and now all I need is a cast. I sent out a casting notice for a different project two days ago and will probably pull from there as well as my acting class. There are some named actors who applied which is always nice for visibility.I recognize them from several shows from TNT, AMC and CW. This short would either be entered in festivals or released as a viral video on pride week. It’s an upbeat comical short that is 5 pages.
