Planning…

Today I wrote the opening scene for the feature I hope to shoot soon. It’s a tall order but given the right circumstances, it’s doable. Technology is in our favor, and the fact that we are in LA with lots of young talented actors and crew members ready to work on feature film projects. The film is funny and scary, and as of now I keep picturing musical numbers. It’s American Pie meets Paranormal Activity with a dash of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I did a quick score last night of a song on garage band with some lyrics, but I’m not sure I’ll have time to compose an entire musical and will need to bring on a composer to help. Choreographing the dance numbers would be easy since I’ve been a dancer since I was three. I came up with a dance today that I could see three of the girls doing which would be super cute!

As of now, I am writing the script without the musical numbers and will only add them in if it seems right to do so after we finish the script. Debbie and Hudson are crazy in love and throwing a party at a rented house to celebrate their engagement. Her best guy friend will be there along with his hot boyfriend who he plans to marry, and lots of Debbie’s girlfriends will be coming too. Things get crazy weird as the night goes on…I don’t want to give away anymore except to say, it’s fun and very colorful!

I also synced the rest of the park scenes in Playground and move onto the garage scenes tomorrow. I hope to start cutting tomorrow as well. There is so much to do that it’s hard to find time for anything else, but it’s exciting too. Here are a few scene grabs that I took today as I was syncing Playground.
