J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reeled me in from the first scene. To witness the father give his life for his family made you care about the main character from the moment he took his first breath. Today, I wrote a 30 page script that has an opening which also pulls at your heartstrings. It’s about relationships, what parents will do for their children, the lengths people go to for love, and the lengths people will go to protect a perfect stranger. It’s a really good story, and recently I’ve been churning out a bunch of really good stories. Most are 10 to 30 pages, and I’d love to make them all. One has a science fiction twist, another is political with a congressman who gets read the riot act. I am particularly fond of that one because I do love politics. The next thing we decide to shoot will either be a pitch reel for one of our features or pilots, or it will be a thirty minute short/pilot.
