After having a business meeting tonight, I realize we are swamped with projects. It’s hard to believe we are already into July! Playground is in the finishing stages and was put on hold as we developed effects for The Sphere. We need a new graphics card to render out all the effects because they are so huge.  It’s ordered and on it’s way… The Sphere is back on hold as we wait, and we are now looking to finish Playground quickly. It’s so close to being done.

Next we have Catharsis to edit which will teach us a lot about our new camera and prepare us for our next shoot, Watching. On top of all this, I am editing my husband’s pilot, Machine Room, and writing several different features. One is Lone Viking which is a feel good romantic comedy. The others are darker and cover topics that are relevant to today’s political situations covering everything from the financial inequalities in this country to the sexual discrimination that surrounds us daily.

As Pride week comes to an end, and we are about to celebrate Independence day, I find it extremely ironic that equal marriage is still illegal in most of our country. It’s this horrible injustice that makes me feel physically ill. I don’t understand how everybody isn’t up in arms about it. I guess the government must take the rights away of straight citizens before people jump up and actually do something…especially those that have the power and voice to actually make a real difference. What the hell is stopping them from doing what’s right, what’s historic, what must be done to seek justice for an entire group of people being treated like second class citizens because of their bedroom activities?! Like it’s anyone’s business anyway! I find it disgusting that nobody freaks out about this! There are some things worth dying for, literally, and this is one of them!!!

Our country is being hurt by a backwards group of morons trying to tell people how to live their lives when they should shut the hell up, give everyone freedom or have their freedoms stripped away and get shipped out of America. No one deserves to live in this country if they don’t believe in equal rights! It’s time to force these people to give freedom to every American or drive them out of this country for good! This is one issue that I feel very passionate about. I truly do not understand how it doesn’t make everyone horribly angry to the point of huge rallies in Washington D.C. This is a war on American citizens who fight for this country, pay their taxes and deserve to be treated equally. What a stain on our country as we go into Independence day. It’s truly sickening and so very sad.
