Books…
I’ve always loved to read, and before the my twins were born, I would devour books like they were candy. Now that they are in Kindergarden, and I have more time to read, write and produce material, I am buying more books. Some are educational, some are pure entertainment, and others are historical. Today I bought a dozen books on the history of Rome. It cost me nothing because they were all on sale for $0.
My husband’s major in college was film, as was mine, and his minor was Roman history. He knows a lot about the subject and with all the research and reading I’m doing as well, we will both be extremely informed on that time in history. I’ve already written a feature, Rome 444, where I did quite a bit of research on that time period. I love reading about the past because not only does history repeat itself, but I just find it interesting to discover the details of the past that helped to create our present. I’m also reading about WW2 and the Great Depression. There are certain subjects that captivate me and history is one of those that I find incredibly interesting.
