Tonight, I’m back to writing on Pieces in Bloom. I’m on page 80 and very close to finishing the first draft of the feature. I’d like to get into production as soon as possible, but it all depends on casting and securing locations. Today, I took a short break from my feature to write a story that Brad and I broke down the other day. It’s about troops in Iraq and is about 8,000 words at the moment. Since it takes place in a time of war (2004) it’s got a lot of violence/adult situations/language. I plan to script it out eventually. It’s very intense, and I also want to release the written story on Amazon as an ebook to coincide with the release of the film, if we decide to make it in the future. As for Playground, Brad and I are currently looking for composers. The scenes are cut to a temp track and everything looks really good.
