Tonight, Brad and I went through the effects shots for The Sphere and broke down the cost that we would have had to lay out to get these shots done. The budget for The Sphere with all visual effects is estimated at $180,000! That’s incredible! The smoke shots alone are very difficult to design and can easily cost $10,000 for one.

The other 3-D shots would easily cost $5,000 a piece.

We still have the last visual effect to create, which we can’t talk about or it will give away the ending. It’s going to be incredible!

Also, we locked Playground tonight, and it looks wonderful!

It waited in the wings for months as Brad worked on The Sphere. With the Visual effects in Playground, the budget would easily have been over $20,000. That means, this year alone, we’ve saved $200,000 on visual effects because Brad has so much knowledge in the field. It’s truly amazing!
