Playground Wrapped…
I’m still buzzing from a jam packed day of production. Juggling so many details while writing, producing, directing, and acting in this short was a high order. I’m thankful it all went really well. We have the footage from Playground going into the AVID now.
I was very impressed with my cast and crew today. Marc Yellin was a joy to work with.
He’s very talented and extremely comfortable in front of the camera. I really enjoyed acting with him today.
Lars Slind did an incredible job as the villain. He’s also very good with all the physical stunts that the part needed to sell the fight scene.
Juliette Larsen was very comfortable on set even when she was tied up by her secret nemesis.
It doesn’t take long for her to turn the tables and show how strong a little girl can be.
We used a green screen for the battle scene, and it is going to look amazing once Brad creates all the effects in post.
We also had a great Cam op, Carlos King, and his camera assist Dana, who knew the Epic well which made the shoot speed by.
This entire project raced by in less than a week! 5 days ago Playground didn’t even exist, and here we are already wrapped on our first special effects short shot on the Epic. When you decide to make something happen, it happens.
