Fay – Short Vs Feature

As I write the feature version of Fay, I keep thinking about the original version of the story which was a short…It left a powerful lasting impression and brought tears to my eyes every time I read it. It’s also something we could shoot in a weekend. With all my projects and ideas that pop up daily, I want to create so many of them that it’s going to eventually take a production team including a staff of writers and editors to pull off pumping out so many projects. This is what I envision for the future, but in the present, I need to focus on getting my next film out that I feel will make an impact. So I am revisiting the short version of Fay and fleshing out a few of the scenes that I extended in the feature version. If we do move forward with shooting Fay, I will need to rent a location for one of the shooting days and possibly longer. I have a studio in mind that would work. The cast for Fay will be the interesting part because we see the characters grow up, so I’ll need Fay and Jackson at 8, 12, 18, 24, 28 and 35. It may take 3 actors for each character to pull that off. They’ll all have to look similar and be incredibly talented.
