Progress…
As many of you know, the fire we had back in April displaced us for about 6 months. In October we moved into a new home and are just settling in. Now we are about to list our other home on the market as the restorations have finally been completed. It’s been a very difficult process to go through on top of our many projects, and I am happy to see that we are moving forward on several films despite our unexpected difficulties.
I am shooting another Cole Maddux promo this Friday, and my focus has shifted towards scheduling. It hasn’t been easy because it’s a large cast and not everyone is available especially around the holidays. We won’t be shooting until January at the earliest. At the same time, the rain has pushed back some of my promo shoots, but it’s also been fortunate because I have written quite a bit on a feature that I am very excited about called Elm View (formerly Baywood Lane).
In addition, Lone Viking is still in development, and I am making the next moves to obtain funding. There will be promotional shoots forthcoming. There are parts of the script that are easy to shoot, but when it comes to the Viking, there is hair, make-up and costume considerations which make it more difficult.
Brad and I are also in development on Vanguard which is like ET meets Interstellar. It’s an emotional high concept story about a hidden race of aliens who are being attacked on Earth and must defend themselves. It also has incredible visual effects! Currently, Brad is creating a trailer to help us get funding. We already have a partial cast in mind, some of which comes from Cole Maddux – C.I.A., though we will be holding auditions when the time comes. Here are a few stills of the hyper gate from the trailer of Vanguard which we hope to have out soon.
