Film Shoot this Saturday…
This week has been hectic, to say the least. Yesterday I met with the cast of Watching for rehearsal.
The cast is great and already slipping neatly into character. Watching was originally slated to lens this summer but lead Jonathan Medina secured a role overseas and was unavailable for our original window of filming.
He is back now, and we film this Saturday. Rachel Alig and John Toll-Barlow round out our amazing principal cast.
The Sphere is nearing completion, only two more full CG shots remain to be rendered (one is going as I type this) and the movie (sans credits) is complete. CG renders can occasionally be simple and time-efficient, but they can also be frustrating as they churn for days even on a powerful machine. The final space ship shot falls into the latter category.
After the render is complete, it’s time for color grading, the sound mix and credits. Some of the stills that I have been posting on Facebook these past few months were created for the credit sequence. Thanks for all the positive feedback.
The Sphere is a very ambitious project, and I am excited to share it with you all.
Beatrice has been very busy with her work on the Fox show Utopia. She also has her hands full with several different projects including our feature Lone Viking, a promotional video for our first attached lead Lars Slind, and a couple features and television shows she is writing.
On top of all these projects in development – We’re Moving! That’s right, the “Vagabond Summer” as we have dubbed it is rapidly coming to a conclusion.
The fire we had on April 24th knocked us for a loop, but I’m proud of the way we maintained focus as a company and as a family. Our projects suffered only minimal delays considering the hardships of an instant up-root, and once we get settled into our new home, we plan to kick things into high gear.
