Sisters’ Shoot…

The Sisters’ shoot went really smooth. It was a 9 to 5 call, and we got it all shot using the most recent updated software from Blackmagic.  It’s always tricky to shoot on sunny days because of the sun bouncing off the screen, making it difficult to see your shot and whether you’re in focus. With Blackmagic, they have helped you by adding the focus lines, which can easily be seen even in the bright sun.

I was also very impressed with my actors. Cole Stroud who played Tommy had auditioned for me before and left a great impression, even inspiring me to write a short with him in mind. Laura Hall has a BFA in acting from a university, and it shows. She is a natural on film. Troy Akin showed off his talent with improv as he added some hilarious lines on the spot to one of his scenes. Amanda Harris, who was our lead character Elizabeth, is not only gorgeous, but also took direction well and gave a wonderful performance.  Here are a few photos from set.
