Festivals…

Playground will be ready to enter the film festival circuit in a few weeks. The first draft of the effects are nearly finished. They’re very intricate and will take hours to render on a powerful machine.

Harley has been entered in two festivals, one here in L.A. and one in. N.Y. I would love for it to get into both. I’ve never been to N.Y. and want to see it. It would be a good networking opportunity and a fun trip. The finished short looks beautiful and is a really good story. The cast has seen it as well as my family. The reviews from my mom were stellar. She really liked the cast. Hannah Elder who plays Kira said it was a beautiful film, and I heartily agree.

These are two clips from the film Written, Directed, Shot, and Edited by me. The clips were taken from the 2nd rough cut. We proudly produced this film in support of equal rights for the LGBT community who cannot marry in most of our country and still face discrimination in the workplace. Our hope is that we can shed some light on the fact that love is love no matter gender, color or creed. Equality is an American right that our fore-founders fought, bled, and died for. It is our duty as citizens to speak up and fight for justice.

As you can tell from the clips, the actors did a fabulous job. Harley stars the very talented Lars Slind, Caleb Hoffman, and Hannah Elder. We shot the film in 8 hours with two takes for each set-up cause we had to move fast. It is a testament to my actors that they were prepared, ready to go, and aced their performances. I highly recommend them to all my TV and Film buddies with their own shows and films in development. These guys rocked!

Currently, I am seeking a cast for my Memorial day viral video. I’ve been going through actor submissions though I did write it with someone in mind. I’m also looking into what we’re going to shoot after that. We have so many choices. It might be a half hour short film or a feature.
