The Days Pass Quick…

As a filmmaker who writes, the process feels endless sometimes. When you finally reach the end, it’s almost a surprise, even though you knew it was coming. It’s never really over though because you have to go back to the beginning– revise, edit, perfect. It’s one of the joys of writing and one of the most solitary things you can ever do because none of these characters really exists except for in your head, and no matter how real they feel on the page, it’s really you just talking to yourself. The thing about writers is we find ourselves very entertaining, so we don’t mind it much. My favorite part is production. That’s my happy place, and I know that once I get my scripts just right, the happy times will be coming.
