Time Warp…

When you’re as busy as I am, it feels as if you are speeding through life. I wake up to dress my boys for school, fix their breakfast, pack their lunch, drop them off. I arrive home to make coffee, eat breakfast as I check the news, and then I start writing. By the time I look up, it’s afternoon. Time for a quick lunch while I read one of my books and then it’s off to the gym or on a long walk. Then I usually need to focus on doing some housework or we fall behind, and in a house with twin boys, that is not a pretty sight.

Then, it’s back on the computer to check emails, send in for auditions, and apply for gigs. I crunch in more writing before I pick up my boys. Once we’re home, it’s dinner, homework, family time, which leads us to bath, book and bed. Their bedtime usually drags on till hubby finally gets home, exhausted from a long day, and after a quick cuddle, he relaxes while I’m back to writing again. By the time I check the clock, it’s usually well after midnight… and I can’t even remember what day it is because they’re all so full like this one that they just mush together into one colossal time warp.

Everyday is a little different, but it’s all similar in details just mixed around in a different order depending on if I’m volunteering at their school or have auditions, shoots, appointments… I just keep juggling to get the next script done, so we can keep moving forward. It’s always a great feeling to get to that point.
